We are looking for a collaborator to join the Engineering Team - Integrated Photonic Systems who will participate in the design and testing of optical systems for the optical sensing markets (LIDARs, optical gyroscopes, fiber optic sensing systems, etc...).
At our company, a System Engineer/Specialist...
- -Contributes to the development and design of optical and electro-optical systems and components;
- Proposes optoelectronic system concepts and architectures to meet performance, reliability and cost requirements;
- Performs simulations and calculations to support design choices;
- Develops test plans to validate performance;
- Performs and/or supervises testing and analyzes results;
- Presents progress to the team and clients;
- Writes design and test reports and documentation for clients.
Your profile...
- Academic background in physics, engineering physics, electrical engineering or other relevant field ;
- 5 to 10 years of experience in the field of optics;
- Hands-on laboratory experience;
- Familiar with optical test instrumentation, laser characterization, RF signal measurements and characterization;
- Knowledge of silicon or integrated optics and fiber optic sensors (asset);
- Good knowledge of Matlab or Python (asset);
- Good team spirit and excellent problem solving skills;
- Good oral and written English skills.
