We're looking for someone to join our Operations team as Production Director, to coordinate and manage the day-to-day activities of a team of over 50 people, and to help shape the organization's strategic directions.
At our company, a Production Director...
- Is responsible for the activities of TeraXion's equipment maintenance and building management team;
- Plans and manages the various human and material resources on a daily basis in order to achieve the defined production objectives;
- Is responsible for controlling and continuously improving costs, quality, capacity and delivery times;
- Oversees production quality control and monitoring processes, and participates in the definition of production specifications for new products;
- Is responsible for and participates in various committees related to production activities;
- Contributes to the analysis and resolution of non-conformance reports and requests for corrective and preventive actions affecting the processes under his/her responsibility;
- Participates in strategic planning and contributes to the development and execution of the operations game plan to ensure achievement of the organization's strategic objectives;
- Ensures constant communication with all team members and all teams within the organization;
- Participates in the hiring process; evaluates staff performance and training needs, and ensures the application of personnel management policies for staff under his/her responsibility.
Your profile...
- Minimum 6+ years experience in a similar position;
- Certificate or bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration or equivalent experience;
- Competence in personnel management in the manufacturing field;
- Experience in optical components (asset);
- Strong communication skills;
- Leadership and initiative;
- Thoroughness and organizational skills;
- Ability to communicate in English (asset).
