We are looking for a collaborator to contribute to the work of the Lasers and Optics engineering team who will actively participate in the design of new products and their manufacturing processes, as well as in product improvement.

You will take on the following professional challenges:

  • Implements test plans to validate the performance of lasers and other optical and opto-electronic components ;
  • Modifies and adapts fixtures and stations to the specifics of each test ;
  • Uses the scientific method to investigate unexpected results or other problems during measurements ;
  • Writes test reports and shares test results with the team ;
  • Prepares and cleans optical parts prior to testing or assembly into subsystems ;
  • Participates in some of the assembly steps of the optical parts in subsystems ;
  • Rigorously documents the test process and the problems encountered.

Your profile...

  • Diploma of college studies (DCS, DEC) in Engineering Physics Technology or other similar field ;
  • Experience working in the optics/photonics field ;
  • Laboratory experience and a strong interest in laboratory work ;
  • Thoroughness and rigor ;
  • Good team spirit and excellent problem solving skills ;
  • Knowledge of written and spoken English (an asset).
