Depending on the required performance, the laser can be automatically locked on the side or the bottom of a specific gas absorption line. Active frequency stabilization can also be integrated with TeraXion’s proprietary linewidth narrowing platform. |

TeraXion has developed a platform that enables a semiconductor slave laser to be phase-locked to any kind of a master laser. The slave laser therefore completely inherits the spectral properties of the master laser such as its frequency stability, linewidth and coherence length. TeraXion’s platform includes the necessary hardware and software to control the frequency spacing between the master and slave laser from 0 to tens of GHz. Since the phase noise of the master and slave lasers are highly correlated, the beat note between the master and frequency offset slave laser signals becomes extremely pure. This allows the transmission of high quality microwave and millimeter-wave signals through fiber over long distances. |

The ClearSpectrum™– LDC is a latchable, compact and low power consumption adjustable dispersion compensation device for remotely control dispersion correction of high
speed reconfigurable optical communications.
The unit has broadband capabilitites allowing dispersion tuning from –1800 ps/nm to +1800 ps/nm to compensate for any wavelength in the optical C band. The LDC uses FBG multi-channel capacity combined to TeraXion’s dual grating tuning system to provide “colorless” operation. The product is based on state-of-the-art tunable FBG based dispersion compensation scheme developed by TeraXion. The LDC has been tested under program specific platform deployment conditions. The dispersion adjustments offered by the device also make it suitable as a dispersion emulator for test and measurement applications. |
