Static Dispersion Compensators
Products
The ClearSpectrum Static Series is composed of two plug and play modules and one athermal FBG package.
ClearSpectrum™-DCML is a fixed chromatic dispersion compensation module that offers high levels of compensation while maintaining an extremely low flat insertion loss as well as a low latency. In fact, this module offers the lowest latency on the market in an 80% smaller footprint.
ClearSpectrum™-DCMX is a passive dispersion compensation module which is available in several form factors including below describe LGX. With its low insertion loss compared to DCF, the DCMX allows system vendors to save on amplification cost for in-line applications. Moreover, the small footprint and extended reach - up to 400 km - of this compensator make it suitable for long point-to-point spans or hut skipping configurations.
ClearSpectrum™-DCMX-LGX is a static chromatic dispersion compensation module for high-speed DWDM networks. This DCMX is designed to offer a high compensation level while maintaining very low insertion loss in a LGX module.
ClearSpectrum™-DCX is the athermal FBG package designed for customers who wish to incorporate dispersion compensation onto their transponder board or amplifier module.
Both the DCX and the DCMX are tailored to compensate for different fiber types such as NDSF, DSF and NZDSF. In their positive dispersion versions, the fixed compensators are used to emulate chromatic dispersion in a T&M environment.
